Full Description:
[Sir Guy Carleton] to [Earl Cornwallis]. New York. Received letters of 4 August and 6 August. Has considered Captain Asgill out of danger. Will be glad to reward Captain Cameron. Sent a letter to his Lordship relative to his exchange, and also to Lord Shelburne showing measures taken to obtain from General Washington or Congress an express declaration of exchange. These measures have been unsuccessful in eliciting a response.
