Full Description:
A Wright and James Johnston to Governor John Mathews. Cedar Grove. Concerns over difficulties following the carrying out of the agreement sanctioned by Mathews and Lieutenant-General Leslie. Leslie gives his utmost support and Commodore Swe[e]ney gives positive assurances that he will do everything he can to prevent the black people from being carried away. Measures will be taken by Charlestown inhabitants to remove any difficulties that may arise. They hope he will have humanitarian motives towards those on both sides.
