Sir George Yonge to Sir Guy Carleton. War Office. Acknowledges letter of 15 August addressed to his predecessor Mr Townshend enclosing abstracts of stoppage accounts due to the hospital from sundry regiments, and report of a Board of Field Officers. It will be difficult to recover the money unless a list of names for stoppages is transmitted. Brings his attention to previous orders that stoppages should be deducted and paid every muster to the purveyor of the hospital. The account of the money paid to a clerk of the hospital who deserted with it to the enemy shall be laid before the Treasury.
