Full Description:
Not dated [1782 October]. Lieutenant-General Leslie to Carleton. Secret. If a joint letter was written from Carleton and Admiral Digby to the naval officer here and commanding officer on shore, it would be a guide to conduct on quitting the place. Colonel Moncrieff advises the work on Shoots Folly to be destroyed. Imagines they will be here for about four weeks as no fleets from York or Halifax have arrived.
