Full Description:
Tonyn to Carleton St Augustine, Florida. King's Rangers, North and South Carolina Regiments have safely arrived in the province, also an engineer, a reinforcement of the Royal Artillery, ordnance, stores and loyal refugees from Charlestown (many of whom are merchants and planters). Discusses defence and fortifications. Begs Carleton to co-operate with the Admiral [?Rodney] in making provision for the defence of the trade by one or more sloops of war, and by ordering a convoy at some fixed period for carrying off produce. Recommends that [Lieutenant-Colonel Archibald] McArthur should be told to co-operate with the civil government, has received instructions from Lord Germain, and encloses copy of vouchers and particulars.
