Full Description:
Frances Dongan to Carleton. New York. Memorial. She is a widow of the late Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Vaughan Dongan, Commander of 3rd Battalion (General Skinners Brigade), who was killed in action upon Staten Island, 22 August 1777. She had been granted quarters, fuel and rations but they have been discontinued until she receives an order from Your Excellency.
