Full Description:
Carleton to William Deane Poyntz, Paymaster-General. New York. Number 81. Warrant to pay Captain Alexander Cameron of the 37th Regiment of Foot, the sum of £1,266 5s 2d sterling. Being subsistence for the said regiment from 25 October to 24 December 1782, both days included as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £366 13s 11d sterling is to be detained for 35,627 rations of provisions issued from 25 August to 24 October 1782, also 4s 8d for stoppages due from the said regiment to the hospital at New York, from 25 August to 24 October 1782, as per the annexed receipt and account.
