Full Description:
Sir Charles Gould to Carleton. Horse Guards. Expresses His Majesty's approval of the opinion of the courts-martial held at New York on 22 August, whereby the Honourable Colonel Cosmo Gordon of the 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards is acquitted of the charge brought against him. Whereby he was 'accused of not having Done his Duty before the Enemy on the 23d. day of June 1780'.
