Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 88. Warrant to pay Lieutenant Robert Anderson, acting paymaster to a detachment of the 80th Regiment of Foot, the sum of £247 1s sterling. Being for subsistence for a detachment of the said regiment from 25 April to 24 October 1782, both days included as per the annexed account. From which £57 18s 9d sterling is to be detained for 5,562 rations of provisions issued from 25 April to 24 October 1782, both days inclusive, and also stoppages for the hospital at New York, as per the annexed receipt and account.
