Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 90. Warrant to pay Captain Thomas Thompson, paymaster of the 57th Regiment of Foot the sum of £1,259 12s sterling. Being subsistence for the said regiment from 25 October to 24 December 1782, both days included as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £329 16s 8d sterling is to be detained for 31,664 rations of provisions issued from 25 August to 24 October 1782, both days included, and also £2 0s 8d stoppages for the hospital in New York, as per the annexed receipt and account.
