Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 100. Warrant to pay Richard Lorentz Esquire, Paymaster-General of the Hessian Troops, the sum of £10,000 sterling. Being on account of subsistence for the said troops for this present year 1782, which with £68,000 granted to him by former warrants dated 24 December 1781, 22 January, 13 March, 19 June, 19 August and 21 October 1782, amounts to £78,000 sterling, as specified in the annexed memorial.
