Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 254. Warrant to pay Andrew Elliot Esquire, Superintendent of the Port of New York the sum of £679 0s 10d sterling. Being his pay and the pay of the officers employed under him, for sundry disbursements attending to the said office from 25 July to 24 October 1782, and also the pay due to the Inspectors of boats and small craft at Brooklyn Ferry and the North River, between 7 May and 24 October 1782, as per the annexed account. The vouchers for which are lodged with the said Elliot.
