Treaty of Peace. Paris, France. Provisional Articles of Peace agreed upon, by and between Richard Oswald Esquire, the Commissioner of His Britannic Majesty for the 'Treating of Peace with the Commissioners of the United States of America, on behalf of his said Majesty on the one part, and John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay and Henry Laurens, four of the Commissioners of the said States for the Treating of Peace with the Commissioners of His said Majesty on their behalf on the other part'. Listed under nine separate articles. Page 14 relates to a sealed agreement concerning the [British Line] boundaries of the Yazoo and Apalachicola Rivers in West Florida ('A true Copy, examined and compared with the Original by B Franklin').
