Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 92. Warrant to pay Captain David Barclay, paymaster to a detachment of 76th Regiment of Foot, the sum of £496 12s 4d sterling. Being subsistence for the officers of the said regiment named in the account from 25 August to 24 December 1782. Also for the Grenadiers Company and a detachment of the battalion from 25 October to 24 December 1782, as per the annexed account. From which £85 2s 11d sterling is to be detained for 8,174 rations of provisions issued, and £3 12s 4d sterling for stoppages due the hospital at New York.
