Full Description:
Captain De Eschwedge, New York, to Major Frederick Mackenzy [Mackenzie]. The number of Hesse-Hanau troops prisoners of war are about fifteen sergeants, and eighty privates in Philadelphia, Lancaster and Reading Town; six sergeants escaped on 23 October. Wishes every private receives two guineas and every non-commissioned officer four guineas. Asks for names of such. Adds that blankets are very much needed.
