Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 236. Warrant to pay Mr Charles Lind, Assistant Surgeon to the General Hospital the sum of £32 13s 4d sterling. Being a compensation recommended by the Board of Officers to be allowed for the loss of his baggage upon the evacuation of Camden, and on the march from thence towards Charleston, South Carolina in May 1781. Also on board the 'Yorke' brig, a cartel taken by the French in Chesapeake Bay 16 October 1781, as per the annexed accounts and rates fixed by the said Board of Officers.
