Full Description:
Carleton to Sir George Yonge. New York. Four documents. Number 14, with regard to the lieutenancy and ensigncy in the 16th Regiment. Number 15, discusses the permanent provision for the worn out and disabled soldiers of the Provincials of the army and suggests something on the footing of Chelsea [Hospital]. Number 16, encloses a certificate from Bruce in favour of William Saltry, recommended worthy of being put on the list for the king's letter of one shilling per day. Number 17, transmits a list of promotions and leaves of absence.
