Full Description:
Captain Charles Bingham. New York. An account of the baggage lost by Bingham for the Volunteers of Ireland on the evacuation of Camden [New Jersey], 6 May 1781. Listing items totalling £64 19s 6d sterling. Deposed and sworn before Stephen P. Adye, Deputy-Judge-Advocate. Noted on the reverse of the document, that the Board having considered the within Claim is of the opinion Captain Bingham should receive the sum of fifteen pounds for the loss of his house, and also fifteen pounds in compensation for the loss of part of his baggage.
