Full Description:
[Oliver De Lancey] to Colonel Connolly. Adjutant-General's Office, New York. Is directed by the Commander-in-Chief to acknowledge the letter of 29 September and inform him that having issued his pay in the customary manner, the mode of receiving it remains entirely with Connolly. His Excellency would however be glad if he would procure an authorityy from home for his continuing the pay here as he is absent from the immediate district of his command.
