Full Description:
J. Mervin Nooth, Superintendent-General to Hospitals in New York to Major Frederick MacKenzie. New York. The mates at Halifax are to be on the same footing as hospital mates at New York. 7s 6d per day, the established rate to be paid with deductions and the supernumerary without deductions. There must be a mistake as to non-arrival of medicines at Halifax as the vessels are since come here and are now being unloaded.
