Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 259. Warrant to pay Colonel Roger Morris, Inspector of the Claims of Refugees the sum of £337 3s 4d sterling. Being to enable him to pay the widows of Provincial officers who have died in His Majesty's service in North America. Also to sundry refugees certain sums to that amount as per the account lodged in his hands, a duplicate of which is hereto annexed for their immediate relief, agreeable to the recommendation of a Board appointed to examine into their respective circumstances and claims, for the several payments of which he is to be accountable.
