Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 258. Warrant to pay Colonel Roger Morris, Inspector of the Claims of the Refugees the sum of £822 12s 11d sterling. Being to enable him to pay the widows of Provincial officers who have died in His Majesty's service in North America. Also to sundry refugees the several sums against each of their names set down in the account lodged in his hands, a duplicate of which is annexed, being a quarterly allowance for their support from 1 October to 31 December 1782, ageeable to the recommendation of the board appointed to examine into their respective circumstances and claims, for the several payments of which he is to be accountable.
