Full Description:
Captain Frederick Cornwallis to [ ? ]. Barrier Gate. That Christopher Weir enlisted in Ireland and after he came to America he was taken prisoner with Lieutenant North's detachment of the 33rd Regiment at Saratoga. Remained a prisoner for four years and then made his escape. Has behaved as a good soldier. On enquiry of one of the sergeants likewise taken at Saratoga, finds that Weir left the detachment at Prospect Hill without leave and that he joined again at Rutland, but again quitted when they were ordered to march to Virginia.
