Full Description:
Carleton to Benjamin Slack and [Andrew Durnford]. Headquarters, New York. Draft of letter written to Benjamin Slack [see item no 6564] but with pencil alterations forming similar instructions for Andrew Durnford. They are instructions for him to examine the military state and defences of Bermuda. He is to report the condition of the troops, magazines, fortifications, cannon, arms and ammunition.
