List of warrants for extraordinaries granted by His Excellency Sir Guy Carleton on William Deane Poyntz, Paymaster-General. New York. [Document 59 pages]. Listed under, dates, in whose favour, upon what account and amount (in sterling). From 1 October 1782 to 31 December 1782. Totalling £10,799 5s 3½d sterling. Three in all, for stoppages for provisions issued to departments and persons to 24 August 1782, for the amount of the sale of 2,000 firkins of butter, for stoppages for provisions issued to departments and persons to 24 October 1782. Also for the sale of butter and the net proceeds of the brig 'Richmond' belonging to the government, taken in the Chesapeake and since retaken and reclaimed.
