Full Description:
Merchants and Traders in Charleston, South Carolina to Carleton. Memorial and petition. With regard to those who have settled and entered into commercial engagements there since the reduction of the province to the British arms. They were influenced by the flattering prospects of a speedy and permanent re-establishment of the British government thoughout the province, and imported goods from Great Britain to a very great amount. Due to events, they soon though found themselves shut up in the lines of Charleston, its evacuation and with no possibility of recovering debts. Asking for safe transport back to England.
