Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay John Hamilton Esquire, agent for transports the sum of £61 sterling. Being for 61 days pay from 1 May to 30 June 1782 inclusive, at 20s per diem, as sole agent for all ships and vessels which shall come freighted by government and consigned to His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief and of all such as may be chartered by his order.
