Full Description:
Superintendent's Office, New York. Return of all the tobacco exported from the port of New York between 3 May and 28 December 1782. Also return of the tobacco that came in by Admiral Digby's licences granted by him to accord with the capitulation of York Town. Also of the"Mentor"s cargo licensed by the commanding officers at Charleston for the payment of the debts due by prisoners there. Also form of the certificates lodged at the Superintendent's Office prior to permissions being granted to export the tobacco (for prize and licensed tobacco). Vessels and masters named with destinations.
