Carleton to David Thomas, Deputy Paymaster-General. New York. To receive and pay warrants granted by Lieutenant-Colonel McArthur for the subsistence and extraordinaries of the troops under his command. Pencilled note 'Speak to Mr P at Mr Thomas to know how money is to be supplied in case of a further want after the 10,000'.
