Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Lieutenant James Drummond, (acting) paymaster to a detachement of 43rd Regiment of Foot the sum of £242 8s 10d sterling. Being subsistence for the Grenadier Company of the said regiment from 25 December 1782 to 23 February 1783, both days included as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £85 2s 11d sterling to be detained for 8,174 rations of provisions issued. Also £5 15s sterling for stoppages due for the hospital at New York.
