Full Description:
Major P Traille to Brigadier-General Martin. New York. Discussion with regard to the church bells of Charleston. The Commander-in-Chief orders that they are to be returned but as commanding officer of the Royal Artillery in America, Traille gives reason why the order cannot be complied with. In the main this is as he informs, that they have been sent to England.
