Full Description:
[Carleton] to Governor Archibald Campbell. New York. Number 6. Was glad to find by his [Letter] of 18 December that Mr Champion had arrived in Jamaica and had nearly executed his commission. Not to supply the rum ordered by Leslie as there will be sufficient in this place without. Sends some soldiers taken on board the 'South Carolina', a rebel frigate, who are to be incorporated into such corps as may found to be expedient.
