Full Description:
Carleton to Major-General James Paterson. New York. Number 6. Acknowledges previous letter with enclosures. Discussion with regard to the orders of issuing forage at Halifax, the raising of money and not allowing the appointment of Purveyor of the Hospital at Halifax. Mr Marshall being allowed to return to Europe, instructions sent by Nooth to Paine, Messrs. Kay and Cullen. Having not received public accounts or warrants, the proclamation signed by Pagan, and forwards letter sent on 22 December.
