Lieutenant-Colonel John Connolly, Provincial Line to Carleton. London. Memorial. He was commissioned by the Earl of Dunmore to raise a battalion of Chasseurs on the frontiers of the middle colonies. That furnished with General Gage's orders to the commanding officers at Detroit and Illonois for their co-operation, he was unhappily made a prisoner for five years. Having been sent into Virginia just before the capitulation at York Town, again fell into the hands of the enemy. As he does not come under the description of an officer entitled to any future provision, prays he may be included with those Provincial officers who may be recommended for half pay.
