Major William Anstruther to Carleton. Bermuda. Details how he has mustered the new troops; would wish for another captain or two given the situation of the different posts, the licentiousness of the troops and the threat of attack resulting from the success of the Bermudan privateers; says Lieutenant Slack can report fully on the state of the island and troops. Mentions loss of the"Cerebus".
