Full Description:
Jeremiah Robinson, inhabitant of one of the Elizabeth Islands belonging to the town of Chilmark to Digby. Martha's Vineyard. Petition for compensation for 116 sheep delivered in 1775 to Captain Lindsay of HMS Forglan [?] who promised to pay the next day but the petitioner was prevented from going on board by armed men from the main [mainland?].
