Full Description:
Colonel Roger Morris to [Carleton]. New York. Having received a message that the arrangement to be made relative to payment of monies would interfere with his employment but not his income, states that he receives by his commission 20/- a day, has done the duty of clerk himself to benefit his family, and has been paid a quarterly allowance in lieu of provisions, fuel and forage as colonel. Is very willing to be employed in any station where he can be of service but if nothing is available then if he could obtain an annual allowance of £400 he wishes to move to England with his family by the first convenient conveyance..
