Full Description:
The account of stock carried off the Island of Nanshan in May 1778, belonging to the Honourable James Bowdoin Esquire, James Bowdoin Junior, and John Read, to whom the said island was leased and had the care and direction of the same. Listing the numbers and values of livestock. Notes that the names of those that commanded by sea supposed to be Captain Fordice in the 'Unicorn' and Captain John Night in a tendor, and by land Captain May. Errors accepted and signed by John Read.
