Full Description:
Lieutenant-General James Robertson to Carleton. New York. He is representing the 16th Foot of which he is Colonel. He was stationed in West Florida and the clothing lodged at Pensacola belonging to detached companies was all taken. That on their exchange the non-commissioned officers and soldiers arrived here almost naked and that he procured the spare clothing of regiments gone to England on condition of replacing an equal quantity in London. Asks that he may be ordered payment. Postscript notes that he makes no claim for accoutrements and colours &c., also lost as he meant to give the regiment a new set.
