Full Description:
Captain Cunningham, Provost Martial. Two statements or brief reports. The first relates to James Strachan who is confined for debt, and to whom four days rations have been given from the King's stores at the end of which his creditors should have supplied him. They have not done so and his orders are to discharge such debtors from the provost. The second is an announcement of the escape of three prisoners from room number 4 by making a hole through the wall facing the poor house. Also noted, Daniel Sheckel, a Rebel naval prisoner taken in the ship 'Hope', John Pain was confined for robbing John Barker of £7 cash, and William Beazley Senior confined for robbing and sentenced to receive 1,000 lashes and be sent to the West Indies.
