Full Description:
Robert McCulloch to Carleton. New York. Memorial. On behalf of the owners of a large quantity of pavo [i.e. turkeys] now in this port, the property of the settlers on the River St John's, East Florida. That the Loyalists settled in East Florida sent by recommendation of officers of the navy, the cargo to this port at New York in order to be sold and the proceeds laid out in purchasing necessaries. The navy storekeeper will not purchase and nor will private persons. Begs it may be exported to Great Britain, Halifax or the West Indies and sold there.
