Full Description:
[Carleton] to Governor Benjamin Harrison. New York. Has received letter of 7 February enclosing a paper containing a computation of the quantity and value of wine on board the sloop 'William and John'. The calculation amounts to 1,920 livres of France, computed as equal to 320 French crowns. This sum in the specific coin is conveyed to the hands of Lieutenant-Colonel Smith who commands at Dobbs Ferry, to abide Harrison's order.
