Abraham Rivier to Carleton. New York. Petition. Late of Tarrytown [Westchester County]. Writes with regard to the loss of property and the necessity of removing within the lines. Hired the Tea-Water Pump hoping to make a decent living but the repairs, cost of three horses and £250 rent which he is unable to pay necessitate his begging some indulgence, especially as the pump has been occupied by others during the war rent free.
