Carleton to Thomas Townshend. New York. Five letters. Number 59, recommendation to make grants of lands, encloses copy of a memorial presented by the commanding officers of the Provincial Line, and the raising of revenue from foreign trade. Number 62, encloses letters from General's Washington and Robertson, and one sent to Mr Paca. Number 63, Transmits copy of a memorial from Lieutenant-Colonel Thompson accompanied by General Leslie's certificate. Number 57, Transmits copy of a memorial presented by the merchants of Charleston and a copy of a report from the Commissioners of Peace. Number 58, encloses letters from Major Traille regarding the restoration of the church bells of Charleston.
