Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Lieutenant James Drummond, Acting Paymaster to a detachment of the 43rd Regiment of Foot the sum of £226 sterling. Being subsistence for the Grenadier Company and detachment of the regiment from 24 February to 24 April 1783, both days included as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £65 17s 1d sterling is to be detained for 6,322 rations of provisions issued, and £3 14s 4d sterling due the hospital at New York.
