Full Description:
Major Frederick MacKenzie. New York. Memorandum. Brigadier-General Martin, having represented the ordnance transport 'Jett' unfit for service, and that the owner Captain Gibson had purchased another ship of 350 tons which was certified by the Agent of Transports as fit for ordnance carrying. The Commander-in-Chief approved on this date [22 March] of the said ship being taken into the service by Brigadier-General Martin.
