Full Description:
Lieutenant-General James Robertson to MacKenzie. New York. Has considered the papers relative to compensations to sundry persons in lieu of provisions, forage and fuel, and has drawn lists and made calculations according to the forms given. The resolution being made by Carleton to convert all the bounty of the crown into money. The compensations now proposed are agreeable to this change. Has presumed to make one alteration in favour of Colonel Maitland's widow who could not with propriety be admitted to this charity as a refugee.
