Full Description:
Rear-Admiral Robert Digby to Carleton. New York. As the three hundred suits of army clothing your Excellency was so good as to supply me with for the use the marines of the squadron under my command has all been issued, request directions for the Naval Storekeeper being supplied with four hundred suits more and a proportion for the sergeants, for which he will give a receipt. Endorsed 31 March 1783. Noted on the document, a letter written to the Quartermaster-General to issue the above on 1 April 1783, and that the Quartermaster-General infomed that the Admiral did not now want them. Signed by Deputy-Adjutant-General Frederick MacKenzie.
