List of sundry distressed Loyalists who have taken refuge within the British lines at New York to whom the following allowances are recommended for their support from 1 January to 31 March 1783 inclusive. Refugees from the Province of New York, 212 with total recommended sum of £3,007 5s. Refugees from the Province of New Jersey, 105 with total recommended sum of £1,592 17s 6d. Refugees from the Province of New Hampshire, 3 with total recommended sum of £86 10s. Refugees from the Province of Massachusetts Bay, 46 with the total recommended sum of £977 12s 6d. Refugees from the Colony of Connecticut, 68 with total recommended sum of £1,250 17s 6d. Refugees from the Colony of Rhode Island 26 with total recommended sum of £741. Refugees from Pennsylvannia, 40 with the total recommended sum of £657 5s. Refugees from Virginia, 18 with the total recommeded sum of £392 5s. Refugees from Maryland, 12 with the total recommended sum of £186 10s. Refugees from North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, 9 with the total recommended sum of £187.
