[Maurice Morgann] to Messrs. G B & G [Gordon Biddulph & Gordon]. New York. The Commander-in-Chief disapproves their mixing the money transactions of Charleston with those of New York, and demands quarterly states of cash for the separate district of New York since the time of his arrival. Reminds them that Carleton required a list of all bills drawn by contractors' agents here from 1 January 1782 to 30 January 1783. Is further directed to require these extended to the present time.
